Background

Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) developed a draft 2020-2030 Strategic plan for commemoration to serve as a blueprint for commemorative programming. The goal of the plan was to invite Canadians to understand and appreciate the contributions and sacrifices made by those in uniform, and to make sure that all Veterans and their family members feel recognized. To see that the plan was inclusive and relevant, it was developed, in part, from feedback obtained through a series of consultations.
